Twitter is a pretty powerful social media networking tool. It is particularly powerful if you are working on a major motion picture and have everyone hanging on your every word. This is exactly the case with X-Men director Bryan Singer who recently tweeted one of the very first pictures from the set of the upcoming film, X-Men: Days Of Future Past. The image was accompanied by the very simple sentence "Hello old friends #XMen #DaysofFuturePast," indicating that the director would use the same wheelchairs we saw in previous films. The props are wheelchairs used by Professor Charles Xavier's character in previous X-Men franchise films and will be used once again in the upcoming movie.
Based on previous casting reports, actor Patrick Stewart who played Charles Xavier in the first X-Men film will be returning to reprise the role. In addition, so will actor James McAvoy who will play the younger version of the same character. That might explain why we are seeing two wheelchairs instead of just one: one used by McAvoy for scenes set in the past, and the other to be used by Patrick Stewart for scenes set in the present day. One thing is certain, it will be interesting to see how Singer works both of these characters into one story in an interesting and compelling way.
X-Men: Days Of Future Past is set to hit theaters on July 18th, 2014. Are you looking forward to the film?
