Nah ... they're in the remnants of the Bronx Zoo. It's just a tiger.

Wolverine blithely tossing a 600 lbs cat across a room like that though is a rather impressive strength feat.

So we've gone from Wolverine being dead and it being a "big" deal a few months ago (leading to a really shitty series called Wolverines) to umm dozens of Logans running around...I dunno, so far Secret Wars is not even close to as good as the original, still interested to see what the Marvel Universe looks like at the end, but I have a suspicion it wont be as good as it was (just like DC 52 etc).

Good thing about the DC 52 is they are pretty much scraping it for the new DC YOU universe they are doing. I agree also that so far this Secret Wars hasn't been as good as the original, but if anyone thought it would be then I think they were hoping for pie in the sky. I think there will be some good books in the new Marvel universe and I think there will be some not so good books. Give it time and they will probably reboot again next summer or the year after.

So Marvel is giving us a bunch of old events that happened over the past 20 years because they ran out ideas.

Ah, didn't notice they were in the Bronx Zoo. Good catch there. I also think Logan picking up a tiger and throwing it from that angle is kind of on the nose.

Anyway, I wonder why Kitty was even there. I'm assuming she went to the zoo the get veterinary medicine. Is Wolfsbane sick or something?

So Marvel is giving us a bunch of old events that happened over the past 20 years because they ran out ideas.

Yep. Time to roll out the prescient articles predicting where the future of the comics industry would be going - they follow Alan Moore and Grant Morrison's critiques but offer new takes:

Publishing is Seriously Nostalgic About Comics, But Why?

Geek Mythology: Nostalgia in Four Colors

And let's give Mr. Moore another take on the soapbox:

Whereas comics was once a form for the imagination, I think those resources have dwindled by the diminishing genetic stock, if you will, if ideas, where everything has to be some kind of reference to some earlier comic. Inevitably, that’s going to make the gene pool dwindle, to the point where you’re going to get some fairly unhealthy specimens emerging from it.

I suppose my basic feelings about the comic industry as it stands are that I just hope its final death rattle isn’t too humiliating or too desperate, because it’s deserved. If the industry is incapable of coming with new ideas and a future that it can evolve into, then it really doesn’t deserve to survive. (Alan Moore thoughts on DC and Marvel Reboots

Alan Moore can suck a D!CK. comics are still great. stories are still great. art is better then ever. the quality of reading them in any medium be it comic book form, phone or on a monitor is at an all time high. Comments like this from a guy who wrote League of Extraordinary Gentleman and essentially stole his cast from some of the great classics just put his foot in his burly beared mouth.

Both the DC reboot and this Marvel reboot is horrible. Just terrible. They are both out of ideas and deserve the dwindling sales of this crap! This is pitiful!

@no_one777: I feel the same way its like we have already been through this multiple times this secret wars event does not change anything same goes for DC.The only thing I will give marvel over DC is in the first issue the pretty much killed the entire universe.
