I'm frankly a little confused about Doc Green's characterization at first he seemed sadistic toward Banner and the path he was walking down looked to end with him being the seed personality for the Maestro emerging. Now it looks like he is afraid of the Maestro and looking to get ready to fight him. I'm pretty confused.

Um Danny doesn't have the Iron Fist anymore also why isn't he teaching at his own dojo?

Hulk fans hate this Hulk but I like him a lot.

He is not the typical Savage Hulk this Hulk is becoming a tactician.

All this Hulk need now is some good feats to back him up.

I hope Doc Green stays for a while it is the perfect balance Hulk needs.

He is getting stronger in weaker areas always said Hulk had no fighting style now he is getting some.

He is also using his tech in battle..

Hulk never had a way to BFR in battle now he has.

Only Thing missing now is some more high feats.

I find it funny it.I can call things before it happen I said this Hulk would be the most dangerous and if He continues on this path he sure will be.

Agents of SMASH? Amirite? Is this thing on?

Hulk learning martial arts from Iron Fist sounds awesome. But the Gamma Corps looks so lame, way too 90's XTREME!!! for my tastes

Anyway personally i am not a fan of Hulk learning martial arts, for the simple fact that i enjoy him the most when he is a smashing brute, he doesn't really need finesse in fact it takes away so much from the character.

But then again this is one specific incarnations that doesn't have much of anything to do with the rest, so i guess we will wait and see. Still it's good that he tries to be unique from the rest as you said valuing intelligence and adaptability. But i say it again like i said back with Waid... SHOW don't TELL. Let's see what he does with his new found skills before we pass a final verdict.

I don't know. I think it'd be pretty freaking cool. Why not? Hell, Hulk radiates gamma energy and bursts, so seeing him use the same kind of energy in his blows wouldn't be considered silly at all. But if he is able to channel his chi and focus his energy into these blows, they better be extremely powerful. I'm talking laying waste to city kind of powerful at the very least.

I mean, c'mon, this is the Hulk! The physically most powerful character in all of comics and one of the most powerful heroic/anti-heroic beings in comics in general. He can casually level mountains, cities, continents, and planets even in a calm state of rage (Infinity #6, Tales to Astonish #89, Marvel Comics Present #52, Secret Wars 2 #2, Incredible Hulk #127, Marvel Two-in-One Annual #2, and numerous others are proof of that). What I'm trying to say is that I just hope that Gerry Duggan actually delivers on all of this.

Yeah, he's definitely lacking in the qualities that made other incarnations/personas of the Hulk such unstoppable, indestructible, raging gamma titans. Hopefully that changes soon. I'm sure I'm not the only one who believes that Doc Green needs to back up his boast of being the most powerful being on the planet. Same goes for Duggan with writing such a powerful character. I guess we'll see.

True, it does differentiate him from the other personas/incarnations of the Hulk. The real question is whether or not it'll pay off and please fans/readers. I'm hoping we'll be getting a Hulk who is a real ass-kicker who isn't afraid to back up his boast of being the Strongest there is. Thus far, in Doc Green's case, it's been too much talk and not enough smash.

I wasn't really serious about it, but i dunno Hulk using his gamma to enhance his strikes could have been cool, in my mind i kinda imagined him using a device to draw the gamma around his fists and strike. So it wouldn't take away anything from Iron Fist... then again there are plenty of characters out there that enhance their fists with some sort of energy to amplify their strikes, doesn't really take away from Dany.

Yea that's pretty much my only problem so far with this Hulk persona. Like i said before i don't care if he was the weakest Hulk out of all, but i hate it when writers resort to the old fashioned shtick of telling us about how awesome this character can be, instead of showing us. Duggan/Doc Green made some bold claims and boasts, nobody forced them to. But now that they did, they need to live up to them. I wanna see Hulk using his super-genius intellect, strength and innovation.

Also notice how on the preview it says 3 days ago, meaning we are looking at a flashback which might mean Doc Green has mastered Kung-Fu in 3 days... if so then damn that's fast.

No, but seriously, this is pretty cool. I've really been enjoying the whole Doc Green thing and this just made it quite a bit more interesting. I'm glad that he understands that he can't do the Iron Fist, though. There's no way in hell he should be able to, that's something only Iron Fist (whoever that may be at the moment) should be able to do.

I like this Hulk. He looks awesome with a beard. I'm glad he isn't fighting recklessly and more of using his brain instead of his fist. The fact he's learning kung fu and there for knowledge is interesting.

Doc Green is learning Kung Fu now. Hulk is really going through a transformation now. I LIKE IT! (+)

Im a huge Hulk fan but this is not the first smart Hulk. Green Scar went into WWH with a plan, He made plans with his warbound.

Im all for him rounding himself out in his weaker areas though

He has used tech in his battle in various forms (Off and on) since Red Hulk drained him of his gamma energy. Look at the hand full of arcs before he became Doc Green, he had armor, floating tech around him, etc.

Hulk had his strength to BFR ppl, he did it alot.

Yes i been proven right . He is holding my number 1 spot in the marvel title . I said this months back that this Hulk is the most dangerous. Again so far i am trying not to miss title just hope i have the budget right :)

I personally feel that this Hulk is a good person, he obviously don't want to hurt people at all, and he is developing technology that is going to save millions of lifes. And from his work with the "good side" of the illuminati, I'm almost sure that he will not be a bad guy anytime soon.

@tensor: You said it. IMHO this is the most important, interesting version of Hulk since the Green Scar. This Hulk can finally hang with the powerhouses and brainiacs of the MU. He is definitely the most dangerous because he is willing to do whatever it takes (and have a sense of humor about it).

I still think this Hulk is based in Banner/Hulk's self-preservation instinct rather than pure rage. His de-powering of other Hulks, his Maestro dream, and his self improvement efforts all lead me to believe that he is trying to truly make himself indestructible. Part of this is keeping pink, puny, squishy Banner locked up. This Hulk probably cares more about Banner than any other Hulk. He is just expressing it in typical Hulk extremism. Considering Hulk's torment at the hands of basically the rest of the world, numerous prominent heroes and teams of heroes foremost among them, everyone is a threat to be mitigated or destroyed.

So he is using Highlander logic: "There can be only one."

What do you think he did to the de-powered Hulks that was intimated but not revealed (I forget the issue, but Lucenstern hints at it)? I'm guessing some sort of gamma drain which he will eventually siphon off to empower himself. I'm also hoping he somehow drains Rulk and takes his draining ability. This may seem OP initially but considering that Banner is a gamma mutate and already capable of limited energy absorption (this would logically include Cosmic Radiation after his re-empowerment several years ago) it is still somewhat in-character. I'm really hoping to see him encounter a bunch of Hulks in the upcoming Secret Wars and just dominate them.

@conniption_fit: I think the evil Hulk he means is Rulk. Could be wrong.

To those disappointed with his showings I point out that he basically has yet to even try against anyone. Abomb and and She-Rulk were completely ineffectual against him. And though Rulk stomped him it was "all according to plan." He also laughed off a very serious Ms. Marvel and promptly BFR'ed her. But yeah, he has yet to show anything new or above and beyond past feats.
