Even though I feel like this book was a little weaker then some of the others, I still can't wait, this event has been amazing. Also I gotta say the art is looking very good.

Ugh, God, I hate this creative team (not the artist, he's amazing, but the writer sucks). Why do I feel like every time Van Jensen picks up his pen, its to shit on Hal Jordan's character. Its like he needs to put down Jordan in order to build up Stewart. That's just sad. That's why I've been sitting this title out. And, really, almost all the Green Lantern titles as of recently. I weep for this era on Green Lantern comics.

^Hal Jordan already became an incompetent dull character when Robert Venditti started writing him in GL, which wasn't exclusive to just one writer.

Godhead is fun and must say that the GL line is doing wonderfully as I thought it would fall apart after Johns.

Man, not digging the whole new bloodthisrsty New Gods...

That's just so weird... THey're supposeed to be the good guys. The ones with sense and a greater purpose. Now the conflict seems too narrow... Too one sided with the GLs being the obvious goodies and teh Gods being a bunch of sadists. They can be jerks without being sadistic beings!!! And isn't it funny how one moment of discussion could just end this whole war? Nobody likes Darkseid... And Hal knows that. If they planned on having the Lanterns fight the gods, then there shoudl've been a much better explanation and depth than just simple misunderstanding between the two. Nobody's asking questions at all on bot hsides. It's ridiculous. I like the event but it's too illogical at times (just like some previous GL events...)

New Genesis adn Apokolips might as well just be buddies. I hope the event leads int othe Darkseid Wars and we see a better side, a better written side, of the New Gods. And see Orion join the JL with Lightray and Bekka.

Yup, In GL #36 Venditti himself pointed it out like he was using Sinestro to break the fourth wall. the Lantern line is dying.

I think that's what I find intriguing about the New-52 version. My first thought after reading the first issue of Godheed was the same as yours "aren't they supposed to be the good guys?" They act extremely high, mighty, militaristic (kinda understandable) and invincible to the point where they'd wipe out a planet just for an experiment. This new take on them is why I've been glued to the pages trying to figure out whey they act like a mirror of Apokolips. Then again I guess if you looked deeper into that statement you'd find poetry in that, but I don't know I just wanted to share my thoughts on what you thought.

I will never understand why DC gives CV exclusive content. Why give exclusive content to an outlet that supports your competition :/?

Exactly. Robert Venditti clobbered with the emotional spectrum. All of that history with Geoff Johns' work is pretty much damaged.

To the people complaining about the New Gods not exactly acting like themselves pre-New52, keep reading Godhead and keep an open-mind. I thought parts 1 and 2 were a little extreme, but I've seen more noble characters in the DC universe go to just as extreme if not more extreme measures for the greater good. How about when Wonder Woman snapped Maxwell Lord's neck, instantly killing him. I would say this act was out of character if I did not read the entirety of the story leading up to this act. After reading the rest of Act 1 of Godhead, I felt like some of Highfather and other New Gods' actions seemed more reasonable, given the scope of their larger battle with Darkseid.

For the people hating on Venditti's GL run because it broke some of the developments that Johns established with the characters, let these new guys tell their story the way they want and save criticism for after the story or the entirety of their run is finished. After all of the crazy events that happened to Hal Jordan through the end of Geoff Johns' run (from the couple of issues pre-New52 through the rest of his GL run in the New52), I could see Jordan backsliding in his character development. My only problem with Venditti's concepts has been the emotional reservoir, but I will reserve my criticism for the end of his run. I'm curious to see where he is going with the reservoir concept.

And yet John Stewart was treated much worse under Johns' run and I'm sure he wasn't complaining then lol.

I don't like the fact that they're too shallow. The conflict is less interesting when the New Gods are so needlessly cruel. And confusing. Highfather doesn't seem to mind the fact that Bekka and Malhedron and that archer god are all violent yet he's pissed about his own son Orion? The writing in the event is a bit messy. I fault the writers and the original process of the writing. I expected a complex conflict between the New Gods and the Lanterns yet here we have clearly one side that's bad and the other that's good. It shouldn't be clear on who's good and who's bad. New Gods are powerful and quite ruthless but they need to do it in a convincing manner, a less needless manner. They are the ones with the experience and the wisdom and the power. I'd like the Godhead team to get their shyt together. They need to take a step back and try to organise their writing a bit. The characters are too off sometimes for the New Gods.

I love the badass "take no BS" approach they had in the beginning but now, it's just needless violence and reckless ruthlessness that's way too similar to the Apokaliptan Gods. There needs to be a characteristic distinction between the two. Once again, it's the chaotic writing team that's the problem. Too many books and writers. They need to get together and try to get the New Gods down quickly before it becomes a mess of an event.

its fizzled since the first issue, so i've been waiting for the match to ignite, hopefully it does in this issue.

Robert Venditti is writing the flash and his supporting characters surprisingly well, too bad his GL isn't quite up to the same standard.

Chang on art tho?? im in.

Its not that I can't handle John Stewart getting a good title. In fact , it makes me happy to see ALL of the GL characters treated well. However, Hal has not been ever since Venditti took over. Why is it that Johns Stewart fanboys have this complex of building up John Stewart by trying to tear down Hal Jordan.
