That's not Doomsday...

The problem with Lobdell is I like his ideas, but not his execution.

@andyphifer: From the looks of it, He is only tapping into some of his power.If he was to go full out an make a full transformation he would not come back at all.

This comic could be a big hit.

I think if they used Doomsday powers right with some good story behind it.The sky is the limit, we do not see Doomsday often so this idea is a good one.

This looks like it has a ton of potential. I was basically sold when I read "Doomsday." I do, however, completely understand that this is not Doomsday we've all come to know and, umm...love? The idea is great. It should be interesting to see how this develops.

Why even claim its Doomsday when it looks almost nothing like it, why could it not be its own OC monster shape shifter rather than claim this kid can transform into Superman's strongest foe.

Well, the source of his mutation is exposure to Doomsday spores, same as Superman, right? More than likely, he could transform into the hulking, grey creature we know as Doomsday. It's only the first issue, so it's not as if we know the full range of his ability and mutation yet.

I hope this doesn't turn into discount hulk.

This looks cool.

I actually though of making something like this but I wasn't that go of an artist. I got my idea from the doomsboy comic. In my own a secret organisation was experimenting with doomday's dna and tried making clones of him, with and without adding human dna . The clones were unstable, so the organisation tried to exterminate them but they couldn't die, so they locked up. The organisation started Experimenting on human and meta-human. They were not as strong as the clones but were more stable and also unkillable.

It was later found discovered that the only way to kill these guys was if they were asborbed by another. Eventually, one of the experiments rebels and destroys the organisation leading the escape of the other experiments. He now has to hunt down the other experiments that are reeking havoc across the globe while he tries to keep himself in control and tries to find out who he was before, but he is not the only one hunting down the others.

I loved the preview. I want to check this out! It's fresh, new, and exciting!

I met Scott Lobdell once at a con and the guy was nothing but awesome. Sometimes I don't enjoy his stories as much (New52 Teen Titans I'm looking at you), but I will give almost anything he does a try. This seems like it could be fun.

Looks really cool imo...

I have a feeling that this new series is doomed.
