Well, it seems quite unreal for the Justice League to call James Gordon, a street-level cop and detective, to solve a murder mystery regarding the death of a mysterious super-powered being. I must be missing something.

@avenging_knight: Maybe Batman brought up Gordon a couple of times and mentioned how good of a detective he is. I kinda like what I see from the preview, it reminds everyone that Gordon is a pretty good Detective. Also I can imagine Flash and Gordon working well together because of their careers in law enforcement.
