Whilst not as pretty as Rocafort's art i am liking Timothy Green's take, its just close enough to capture the same feel. Lobdell is doing a great job on this series, i really hope he dosent leave the series any time soon.

Huh I didn't think the person from Jason's past was until next month after there fight with Superman, I don't think it's a surprise to say its going to be the Joker though RHATO's crossover with the Titans in Death of the Family doesn't start until December.

Love the series, my favorite DC comic they work well as a group the dialogue and interactions between the three are great not to mention the story structures which doesn't have the group really taking the initiative on missions but getting pulled into things from there past, I would love to see a Roy based story arc after Death of the Family.

Considering their starbolts can melt tanks...why do they carry smg's?

don't know why starfire is always in positions where certain body parts are accentuated to put her in sexual positions. The artist needs to get it together.

Agreed. It's sad to see Rocafort isn't on this, but Timothy Green certainly makes a good replacement. Who does a fantastic impression of Rocafort's style. I'm interested to see what Rocafort can do on Superman.

@Mucklefluga: i love this series, but i have to agree with you, it has grown to be really annoying. I still cant get my grip with Green's art, it just isnt to my liking

Besides still does not explain use of earth guns. Surely there are alien weapons that can get the job done better.

@kagato: The colors are the same but certain things are a bit off that just take me out of it. Like how he draws the strands of Starfire's hair... Just making it look like a greasy mess. Or, worse yet, the incredibly dopey faces. I had to drop. I might still pick it up in trade but, gosh, what a disappointment. It might not have been so bad if it weren't right after Rocafort but it's still pretty awful - to me, at least. It's too generic.

@Outside_85: Well they could be. Superman, Martian Manhunter and Lobo are aliens and they're more durable than tanks. Heck, I think Starfire might be more durable than a tank as well.

Really I can't like Timothy's art, really, i don´t like it. First and second page are acceptable, maybe good, but the last one is really bad, you see the faces of Star and Blackfire and there are drew really bad.

Babs, are you feeling ok lately? First you post bare naked boobies the other day and now you print "thrown" instead of "throne". That's a pretty serious typo for someone who does this for a living.

The dialogue is kinda silly. I usually ignore silly dialogue in comics, It's kind of a given in the first place, and I read comics written by Claremont, who loves writing in a 30's film serial kinda dramatic way, but this comic...

Also, Starfire and Blackfire fighting. And this'll be different from the hundreds of past fights how?

Blackfire looks like a badass here.

That costume on Blackfire is ridiculous its 2012 not 1995. Starfire on the other hand just looks goofy constantly posing for playboy.

I think the issue a lot of us are having is that Rocafort's style is a really hard act to follow, the fact that Green comes as close as he does is whats keeping me interested, i guess it dosent help that Rocafort has done the cover, they really shouldnt have done that lol.

Damn it why the hell do they draw Starfire looking like she's enjoying being choked by Blackfire? I swear DC Comics has no respect visually for female characters.

i follow characters and stories rather than artists but whatever floats your soap... who cancelled uncanny x force cuz the artist changed? anyone? hopefully not. the art doesn't look bad. as for the 90's thing thats all across the board for the new 52 so yeah...

I feel like the way that women are drawn in this are evocative of Liefeld's style. I can't take this book seriously. I feel like if Michael Bay wrote a comic, this would be it.

This is truly awesome I say. Not a title I'm getting but its Lobdell writing so obviously its good.

I like Jason Todd's character in the New 52, I just hope the writing gets better for Red Hood & the Outlaws. So far its been ok. The current story arc with Starfire has been decent. If they ever cancel the book, Red Hood should join the new JLA team. I feel like he would fit in fine with the new roster, but that's just me.

@kagato: lol it is a bit of a tease, but ya we are pretty much stuck with Green, and I was hoping that we might get Brett Booth, he drew a cover for RHTO that i thought looked beautiful. But ya Rocafort left a permanent mark in these comics, and he will definitely be missed, but i hop everything goes well with Superman. He deserves to be recognized, and in all honesty, the art doesnt make the comic. in fact the story of issue 12 was really quite good, while people were getting used to the art. But i have a feeling this arc is not going to end on a strong note. its alot to tie up in one issue, i think it would have been better to not have the Superman tie in issue, and have something with just the time transistioning back to Earth or getting ready for the Joker crossover

And blackfire is supposed to look evil,I like this edgy (not literally) look.She especially looks evil,and it matches her for some reason...especially with her disease

I have to agree, Starbolts are super concentrated blasts of solar energy, incredibly destructive when used full out, yet also perfect for stunning enemies when used on lower settings. Heck, Kory once took out one of Brainiac's skullships by going supernova on it...I find it VERY hard to believe that handheld guns can pack more punch than Starbolts.
