@Omega-Man : Where is it said that the New 52 is set in Earth Zero? IF this is so, then the multiverse before New 52 still exists and the shift of focus of DC comic books is just shifted to Earth Zero without any of the other Earths from the multiverse pre-New 52 destroyed or merged?

Excited as well. The first did well as a primer to build the universe, now the universe is set, so I want to see where the story goes.

I wonder who will be the villain.

First was good, not amazing though, purely because too much action over characterisation. Let's hope this one remedies it.

And let's also hope Batman: Earth One never sees the light of day, since Geoff hates Bruce.

Both Pre and Post-flashpoint worlds is New Earth. It wasn't the world that got changed. It was the timeline. And Earth One was the designation for this world prior to Flashpoint. So it was on the pre-flashpoint canon that just so happen to be on a different universe. This being a continuation of the earlier one suggests that it was either unaffected by the flashpoint retcon or the continuity has been removed from the new 52 multiverse altogether. We'll just have to wait and see JMS's official statement.

Anyone else get the feeling that JMS is sneaking in some aspects of his Max: Hyperion run in this? I LOVE that series. One of the best modern updates of the Superman mythos, ever. After JMS left the series, however..... "Think of it often, speak of it never" comes to mind.....
