Big news for fans of the multiplayer online battle game (MOBA) game Infinite Crisis. Starting in May, DC will be releasing a weekly digital comic based this world and in July, it will come out in print at local comic shops everywhere. The new series will be written by Dan Abnett and will feature a bunch of different artists including Christian Duce.

The Infinite Crisis comic takes place before the start of the videogame, before the Crisis kicks into high gear and all of the heroes and villains are recruited by The Monitor to serve as Champions and battle against unseen enemies to save the Multiverse.

As in the game, characters from alternate DC Universes will be joining forces to try and stop the approaching Crisis. Prime Earth Batman will join forces with the likes of Gaslight Catwoman, Arcane Green Lantern, Atomic Wonder Woman and Nightmare Robin.

In addition to the infinite characters from the video game, Harbinger has been redesigned for the comic book series and will join new character Atomic Two-Face in the action.

The game, developed by Turbine, pits heroes against each other in player vs player battles set in the DC comics universe featuring well known heroes and villains from various DC universes.

There is no official release date yet, so stay tuned for more details as they happen, but here are some character sketches for the upcoming comic.
