We've seen the trailer for the follow up game, Batman: Arkham City as well as some images but that hasn't been enough to satisfy our need for more.
As if they heard our pleas, DC Comics has announced a six-issue miniseries in May that will bridge the gap between the two games. The series will be written by Paul Dini with art by Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City concept artist Carlos D'anda.

Batman: Arkham City picks up one year after the first game. The new mayor of Gotham, Quincy Sharp has closed down the Asylum and establishes Arkham City, a heavily fortified section of Gotham City. Inmates can roam freely and do whatever they want as long as they don't try to escape. To run the prison, Sharp puts Dr. Hugo Strange, a man who knows Batman is Bruce Wayne, in charge. Each issue will have a cover price of $2.99 and will be available day-and-date digitally worldwide as well. There will also be 8-page digital-first interludes that expand the story of the miniseries. These will be written by Dini with art by different artists. They will focus on the different villains and be available for .99 cents (they will later be available in print in the Batman: Arkham City collected edition).
The first two issues will be published in May. Will you pick up the series or just wait for the game in the Fall?“The digital first stories offer a unique incentive for fans to experience interesting and exciting stories beyond the pages in the printed comic,” said Jim Lee, DC Comics Co-Publisher, “The additional pages will serve as interludes within the regular issues and won’t be necessary to follow the main story of the miniseries. Fans will also be able to read these interludes in print later, when we publish the collected edition.”
