I thought this was an incredible idea at first, but some people have said that some series only have like the first arc available...it's still pretty great, but not quite as good as Marvel Unlimited.

Wow, this sounds really sweet. And I'm always down for a free trial.

Are they including every published aside from Marvel and DC? I see a great assortment of comics from all the different publishers I can think of.

If DC could get something like this going my head would explode from the amount of comics I could read in a month!

@darkdetective27: The more I look, the more it seems like it just depends on the series. Like there's 22 issues of one of Transformer series available. I don't there's anything with all the issues available.

@darkdetective27: I'd say wait and let it expand a little. These types of services always take some time to really grow their catalog.

Ok, how does this work for creator royalties? Are creators not making any money off of this?

Just read the news and an interview with the Comixology CEO on a certain other comics site. This is a pretty good deal for trying out comics. This is not like Marvel Unlimited where all issues are eventually available. For most series, like for say Lazarus, only the first trade volume will be available. If you want to continue with the series, then you'll have to buy the other issues/trades.

For me this is really great specially for image and dynamite I really hope they incurred more title from image and dynamite.

With that said like it's not that bad not having marvel on the subcription setvice because marvel has marvel unlimited it's basically what comixology is doing with this service except it's just marvel the and it's basically everything from marvel you can ever want to read from the 60's 70's 80's 90's 2000's and 2010's only setbacks for me I think is a times slowness of the app itself and the fact that it's lacking lots of 90's X-men issues and lastly the fact the six month wait for the newest and latest releases to be added.

And with DC they never done the subcription all you can read streaming service like marvel unlimited or like comixology is doing and I honestly doubt they'll start any time soon sadly which is sad because for so many people like myself options like this opposed to buying trades and single issues is a more cost effective way to get into comics without worrying about going broke.

So we got unlimited service for nearly every other comic publisher but DC still hasn't done this? They really need to step up their game. Are they afraid that more people will like the pre-Flashpoint stuff better?

Man the manga industry is trying really hard to fight piracy

I'll bite when the official translations are as good as fan translations

Especially the Pokemon , Yu-Gi-Oh, and Shaman King stuff which gets changed around

@NukeA6: Post-Flashpoint stuff would be available too

In any case they don't need to worry, I do like Pre-Crisis better than Post Flashpoint, but not Post-Crisis

@NukeA6: I think they are more concerned with increasing their comics sales and fear making a service like this could hurt those sales.

@ryus: Like mentioned above, I reckon DC are probably trying to get their regular sales numbers back in shape first. They can't really afford to do anything that might undermine themselves right now, not with REBIRTH about to hit.

@jonny_anonymous: As far as I've seen there are loads of creators who didn't even KNOW their comics would be going up on Comixology Unlimited. I highly doubt they're getting paid for it.

It might not actually expand much, like netflix/hulu they will add and remove stuff and so far I don't see a way to see when things expire so that could be annoying, the more popular stuff will probably stay up but less popular will probably only be available a short time, maybe rotated out every month to keep the total number manageable.

yeah, a bummer but i guess makes sense. if it really was the entire series, this would be an incredible deal. why can't they just do the whole series up to like, i don't know, a year or so before the current issue?

marvel unlimited is okay, but it's just marvel... i want a bigger variety of publishers from a service like this. which is why this one is cool but apparently not quite what i'm hoping for yet.

Nice idea but the library needs to get bigger before I would think about signing up monthly. I would like to use it for manga, particularly Fairy Tail but from what I can tell they only have the first volume on unlimited.
