I really hope this doesn't lead to less comic book content appearing. There are a million websites doing "entertainment news" and that stuff has diluted the focus of other websites that I have loved. I really appreciate the voice you guys bring to comic book coverage. I hope this leads to stronger comics coverage for a long time to come!

I'm glad the website is moving forward, but the new url is blocked on my military servers because of "game" in the title... other than that, cool!

I can barely read this page on my mobile, the font and colours have gone all weird.

The same stuff we've been doing will appear here. Previews will still exist. Features will still exist. We're just doing stuff at GameSpot as well.

Hope this takes you guys to the next level. Unfortunately, experience tells me that this is when the forums and comment sections go downhill reeeeaaaal fast.

@inferiorego: Awesome! Glad to hear it. I hope I didn't come off as overly negative. I love the site and am happy to hear that it is growing. Getting your stuff on Gamspot will surely pull more people into reading Comic Vine, and that can only be a good thing.

@inferiorego: do you guys have time to contribute on GS? there hasn't been as much editorial content on CV the past year or so as it is, I figured that was because you guys were busier or spending more time on what you are publishing.

@pikahyper: We've actually had more editorial content this past year. And we've been posting on GameSpot (and CV) since December.

So now that the merge is official, does that mean that we curse already? It just seems idiotic at this point that we are following Whiskey Media rules when we are not even part of them anymore. What's the point? The majority of the mods do not like it, the majority of the users do not like it, staff probably do not give a shit since they hardly go to the forums.

Why is this still a thing?

@gmanfromheck: really? not meant as an insult but it really doesn't seem like it, there are some days when the front page articles don't even move and a good chunk of the articles are actually previews, reviews, solicits or new releases related, I can't even remember very many interviews lately.

Is there any chance this change will mean that you guys will start covering more then just the popular stuff? like getting more/any coverage for Boom, Dark Horse, Titan, IDW, Oni, Action Lab, etc? or all the Euro comics that are finally being translated and released digitally from Comixology and Europe Comics.

What's the point of not letting us even put asterisks in between the f and the k. We found a fluffing loophole again. We might as well just be saying it.

I always assumed this was the case ever since Comicvine became a part of CBS. I assume this is just an official server move and that the same Comicvine content will be produced and copied onto Gamespot proper.

@wardishy_: articles aren't working for me either when I have it switched to white background, but when I switch to black background, it's working just fine on my end.

I really hate changes most of the time..CV is a place I visit more than 10 times a day..(I know I don't have a life)..Hope the CV I know and love stays the same..It's really great news about the merger...But please don't change CV too much..

pretty awesome. my only complaint is since gamespot is banned at my school so it looks like I won't be on the site at school like I used to. oh well. still pretty cool. I also hope this doesn't lead to too many changes in the forums because that's my favorite part of the site

When you allow cursing on the site, people use it on each other. Also, rule stays. Find other words to use. This is coming from someone who has a potty mouth and I'm fine with the rule.

If people wanted to insult each other they would do the same thing that I do with the spoiler block. That won't stop people from getting at each other's throats. A mod will still use the warning/ban either way. My biggest gripe with the rule is that I'm from the RPG forum where I can't fully write my character without having to censor myself. If there were some kind of exception for IC posts then I wouldn't care that much but I know that's never going to happen.

Comicvine hasn't let me down yet, I'll stick through. Change is a constant, so I'll accept it.

This change screwed up my login, because it used to be linked to my GB login and now it's linked to my GS login. I'm not sure how I feel about that.

New address is blocked by my work.

As for the swearing debate going on above,I like the rule. It's nice to have a little decorum and require people to use other adjectives and adverbs than curses.

I love this website, but the name change feels completely unnecessary and simply doesn't flow well at all. Change the name back please.

The community rules and moderation staff will remain the same, and GameSpot moderators will not be interfering with Comic Vine (and vice-versa). Keep on doing what you do.
