Check Out The Con, A Crazy Documentary About Conventions

And watch out for the Comic Vine staff at San Diego Comic Con.

Hold on hold on… before we get to anything... OJ “the Juice” Simpson did a signing at a horror convention on the anniversary of his murder acquittal?!?! That’s so morbidly bizarre, I’m truly shocked that I never heard about it before.

Well, that’s just one of many eyebrow-raising incidents that’ll be explored in THE CON, a documentary to put the same lens on convention culture that TREKKIES put on STAR TREK’s famous fanbase. This flick’s culled from six years worth of con footage and sharp-eyed Comic Vine maniacs will notice shows as recent as this year’s Wondercon in the trailer. I recognize the Lady Deadpool, Domino, Ares and Moonstar cosplayers from that show. Come to think of it, I think I might have seen these guys shooting this while Babs, G-Man, Ana, Joey and myself were there.

The con was a good one. Why don't we go back and it in this video recap

Back on point, THE CON’s trailer is available for your viewing pleasure below. It was just released to Fanboyweb. Seems like there isn’t an official site for this My Way Pictures project, yet, but there is an official Facebook page you can become a fan of. I’ll definitely be keeping my eye peeled for it, myself.

Ah... now that we're bringing back the fond memories of Wondercon, I’ll say again that, while interviewing creators, celebrities and cosplayers is loads of fun, what makes these shows a true pleasure is getting to meet you Comic Vine maniacs in person. I met RadZombie, Misterz17 & AngeTheDude at Wonder Con, and  Couzinit99 & Mr. Fanboy at C2E2, and I can say that we're all looking forward to meeting more of you in San Diego for Comic Con next month. The whole staff's going to be there, in style, so keep your eyes peeled for us on the floor and say hello if our paths cross. I know this year's show is going to unforgettable.
