Captain George Stacy Speaks Out Against the Menace of 'The Amazing Spider-Man'

Is Spider-Man a hero, a vigilante or a masked-menace?

There's often been a talk of the pros and cons of superheroes. They constantly make personal sacrifices in order save the lives of innocents. Despite this, there are many that frown upon their masked exploits. They wonder why they feel the need to wear masks and conceal their identities unless they have something sinister to hide.

Spider-Man has pretty much had to deal with this sort of criticism throughout his entire career. His biggest opponent has always been J. Jonah Jameson and the Daily Bugle. In the movie, The Amazing Spider-Man, there hasn't been any sign of JJJ showing up but based on this "Daily Bugle TV" exclusive, the Bugle appears to be in the movie but as a television network rather than a newspaper. Also, we've seen some glimpses of how Captain George Stacy feels about Spider-Man's actions but in this clip, he really lays out how he feels.

Those are some harsh words. In the comics, Stacy became a strong supporter of Spider-Man and eventually uncovers his true identity. We'll have to see how the events unfold in the movie to see if Stacy's opinion can be changed and if he will follow the same events as his comic book counterpart.

There's also the fact that the Daily Bugle is taking a different approach. It makes sense in some ways but just doesn't feel right.
