BOOM! Studios' DEEP STATE Being Developed for TV, First Issue Goes to Second Printing

The future is looking pretty bright for Justin Jordan's new series.

The truth is out there, and it's John Harrow's job to make sure you never discover it! Justin Jordan and Ariela Kristantina's first issue of DEEP STATE went on sale earlier this month and it's all about a shadowy organization attempting to make sure the general public believes all of the crazy things that have really happened are nothing more than conspiracy theories. The first issue started a story that reveals there's much more to the moon landing and we gave it a 4-star review. Apparently, we weren't the only ones who liked it! BOOM! Studios has announced the comic is going to second printing because it sold out at the distributor level. On top of that, the rights were sold as a TV drama which is "part of its first-look deal with 20th Century Fox TV."

So yeah, as you can see, DEEP STATE is kind of like The X-Files meets Men in Black, which obviously makes for a pretty promising TV series. You know, assuming it's given a team who goes all-out and the show doesn't air at a terrible timeslot. Have you read the first issue and can you see it being turned into a solid TV series? If you haven't checked it out yet, does this news motivate you to give it a look?
