And one thing I forgot to mention is that the New Mutants are currently charged with "tieing up loose ends" of the X-Men and that preview had an image of X-Man and Blink. There isn't any loose ends between AoA Blink and 616-Xmen really, but there are with 616 Blink. (Though I would kill for a return of the Exiles, and maybe slowly convert 616 Mimic into someone more like his Exiles counterpart)

I don't know anything about 616 Blink. I like AoA/Exiles Blink.

This is from a while back. I think this was always the plan.

616 blink made her appearance in the phalanx covenant. she teleported someone to death and wound up in her own field and died. she died a month after her first appearance. she returned during necrosha. the blink everyone knows and loves is the AoA version

I'm happy to say that this is probably the 616 Blink, the one a fell in love with so many years ago during the phalanx covenant. Not only because she's an interesting character with a cool power, but because at that time she was an innocent, sweet scared little girl with tremendous power. Sadly she has somehow grown up while she was dead :-(

I feel i've missed her growing up and becoming more confident, like we should have seen in Generation X. Lobdell said he wanted to bring her back in that book, sadly this never happend. Now she looks like a streetwalker, and not like the Blink i remember, but i'm still happy to see her back among the living.

I do wonder however if she isn't redundant, does anyone know another fan favorite young girl with purple hair, eyes without an iris, can teleport and has a sharp dagger like weapon? She just has a lot in common with Pixie imo.

Still happy to see her again, i was always more interested in her then the AoA Blink, i'm curious what they will do with her.

I wish "our" earth's blink would grow hear hair out, I just looks better than her perpetual 90s cut

This is the best news I have heard in a while. I wonder if the recent use of Mimic in the Dark X-Men was on purpose to give him some exposure to set up a meeting with both Blink and Mimic. That was one of my favorites relationship in the X-Titles. I know Mimic from Earth-12 died, but I want to see if something can spark between her and Mimic (616).

Actually Blink is a descendant of Apocalypse.... and with Sinister back.... we only can speculate!! But really, that shirt is 5 sizes to small!! I know she is kinda "homeless" but where did she find that outfit!? What happened to her iconic AoA green tunic?? Can't we modernize it a tad and use that instead!!?

Aww, that's sad, I loved 616 Blink and was incredibly sad when she sacrificed herself for Paige, Sean, Emma, Jubilee, Sabretooth and Monet.....Then I was happy when they had her in AoA and Exiles, I am so happy 616 Blink is back! At least give her a chance. :o(

::googles:: Shoot. Looks like I should have read that 'To Serve and Protect' side-series to find out what happened to Clarice post-'Necrosha'. I'm just glad her storyline is back on track. I like the character. Plus, the X-Men were whittled down to just two teleporters; Magik and Pixie, both of whom are on Utopia. Anyone think Clarice will stick around on the island, hook-up with Logan's school or keep running around all 'rogue mutant'-like?

IM EXCITED!!!!! This looks like 616 BLINK (and im really feeling the new suit) and hopefully after that Necrosha business, she'll be a little less...broken (for lack of a better term)...

@The Dark Huntress: i also love aoa blink alot but atleast were getting some blink(although chances are they would make earth 616 blink like the aoa one with time so we don't feel her absence so much)

Loving the art!

Hopefully this storyline repairs all the damage that Fear Itself did to New Mutants. The book has been awful for months now.

Found my reason for reading Marvel Comics again. Blink and Sunfire are two of my favorite mutants! I hope she stays around for many years to come!

It is 616, it must be. Doesn't Exiles/AoA Blink not have those markings on her face? One thing that confuses me is why Blink isn't around Monet or Jubilee or something, it's the only link she ever really had to the X-men...she sorta died for them you see.

How sad that the best thing about the new New Mutants series is the covers.

I think that we all have to ask ourselves if bringing a character like her back is a good idea. It seems to me like the "New Mutants", is just becoming a stage for a lot of the old Mutants that the writers want to bring into the fold again. Why not throw Morph on the team.
