Best Comic Covers of the Week: 11/28/14

What covers rocked our world this week?

Hope all of our readers in the States had a great Thanksgiving. To all of our non-American readers, we hope your Thursday was productive yet entertaining. Anyway, it's Friday and it's time for all of us, around the globe, to come together and celebrate the same thing: awesome comic book covers.

EDWARD SCISSORHANDS #2 by Kevin Wada

First up is EDWARD SCISSORHANDS #2 by Kevin Wada. The style and watercolor work here are fantastic and something we're not entirely used to seeing on covers. Also, there's a sense of nostalgia to this cover as well, for those who love the film. I've always wondered how he never killed anyone while cutting their hair.

ALIENS: FIRE AND STONE #3 by David Palumbo

The next cover on our list is ALIENS: FIRE AND STONE #3 by David Palumbo. Drool is gross, but it's even more gross when coming out of the mouth of a Xenomorph. Palumbo captures the essence of these frightening beings in this cover and the shading is gorgeous.

GOTHAM BY MIDNIGHT #1 by Andrea Sorrentino & Marcelo Maiolo

Here's GOTHAM BY MIDNIGHT #1 by Andrea Sorrentino & Marcelo Maiolo. Is there anything Maiolo and Sorrentino can't do? The cover depicts the two sides of Jim Corrigan: a cop and the Spectre. The artwork here is just beautiful, as well as the covers.

ALL NEW INVADERS #12 by Michael Komarck

Here's ALL NEW INVADERS #12 by Michael Komarck.Union Jack is about to get stabby... and shooty! Komarck's art is stunning and he always depicts the members of the Invaders in such an epic and stoic way.

SPIDER-MAN 2099 #6 by Francesco Mattina

No Caption Provided

Up next is SPIDER-MAN 2099 #6 by Francesco Mattina. SPIDER-VERSE! Sorry, I had to yell it. Mattina does a great job to show the rage in someone's face, which is completely covered in a mask. Also, we love the Inheritor face in the background as well.

BATMAN ETERNAL #34 by Rafael Albuquerque

No Caption Provided

Finally, here's BATMAN ETERNAL #34 by Rafael Albuquerque. It's great to see Hush in the New 52, and the way Albuquerque has him posed defines the character's personality and motivations extremely well. Loved how this piece is a bit off-center as well, since Tommy Elliot isn't "all there."
