It's that time of the week. Time to look at the latest edition of Best Battles in New Comics. Comics often feature big battles with superheroes fighting supervillains. Sometimes we even have superheroes fighting other superheroes. Get ready to cheer and possibly cringe at the brutal punches being thrown.
EARTH 2: WORLD'S END is being featured once again. After last week's fight against Darkseid and how it left off, how could the next stage in the fight not be featured? As this is the final issue, it's also the final fight against Darkseid with the whole world at stake.
Alan Scott knows he has to give it his all in taking on Darkseid.
Will it be enough?
Despite being connected to all the avatars of the world, something just isn't working out. Alan takes a beating against Darkseid.
Thankfully, he's not alone in the fight. Power Girl and Red Tornado (Lois Lane) still have some fight in them.
Alan uses this distraction to try to get his bearings. After all, there are still some others with some fight in them. He has to make a sacrifice and embrace his role.
Will that be enough? The title of the book is WORLD'S END. You'll have to read to find out what's next.
Black Bolt. He's a man of very little words. His words carry the power to cause extreme destruction. After being transported to where he's "supposed" to be, he finds himself shot by an arrow in the side. He might easily snap the arrow and pull it out but there's plenty more where it came from.
Black Bolt does have some moves. Using his powers, he prepares to take on the thread, head on.
You've probably heard the saying, "Action speaks louder than words." In Black Bolt's case, it's the opposite.
With just one word, he takes out an entire army. This allows him to go up against the real threat.
Yup, Superman gets possessed. Wonder Woman and Superman have shared many moments and now they have to fight each other. Who would you put your money on? Hopefully you'll pick correctly.
Wonder Woman kind of tells Clark how it is. In his defense, he's not exactly in his right mind. But this isn't the end of the fight. Wonder Woman has to deal with the fact that Magog is threatening innocents as well. She moves the fight to deal with him.
What can we learn from all of this? Don't underestimate Wonder Woman. Magog believes the heroes are the ones bringing nothing but destruction. Diana knows he's just fooling himself.
Surprisingly, this isn't even the end of the fight. Where's Superman? Where's Circe? Don't miss what happens next.
That's it for this week.
