Dinosaurs and lasers. I don't like the sound of this, but I won't be picking it up anyway, so it doesn't really matter what I think.

Probably the thing that puts me off Snyder's work is the horror element that he constantly injects in his books - at least his work in the New 52. For me personally they're just pushing the extremes of violence and gore that I find really ineffective and gratuitous. I want cool mysteries and intrigue, not the Joker having his face cut off. Ridiculous.

The recent King arc 'I am Suicide' and 'Rooftops' were fantastic. Violence and darkness are fine, it's Batman after all, but Snyder just takes it into a place I don't think it needs to go.

Such as dinosaurs, lasers and nightmares or whatever the unfortunate quote was.

This tickled me a lot more than it should have XD

I like the cover art. The 50 series run was pretty well done I thought. Hopefully this is well written. With that art I wonder if Batman will be a killer or more brutal.

Greg and I started dropping clues during Court of Owls, we continued through our Joker stories and we placed our biggest hints in the run that culminated with Batman #50

With reboots & retcons, crap like Flashpoint, new fifty-stupid, rebirth, etc, why would anybody reading anything ever think clues were being dropped, existed, or even mattered?

& if they did, the next movie/show/ season of Gotham would mandate characters being brought back, & the next writing team will have their own groundbreaking game changing to the extreme moments.

Just admit that you arc is its own self-contained universal continuity, & the next writers start fresh with Bruce dressing in bat-jamies because criminals are a cowardly, superstitious lot.

This'll do nothing, this'll change nothing. Grow a pair & in the next multiversal reset, replace Batman & Superman with Apollo & Midnighter. & have a threeway with Zealot.

I think Barbatos is the Dark Multiverse almagam of Batman merged with The Spectre/Aztar. Look at the huge powerset, the way he talks, connection to the Multiverse, that cloak.. I wouldn't be surprised if the spear of destiny (FC: Revalations #3) was made from Nth metal, which can hurt Barbatos as we saw with Hawkman's mace.

The new team sucks at batman, they took the whole story into yet another JL/JLA. Batman was cool for his lone wolf or Robin stories, now it is a huge team.... I am so glad we are getting the Metal with the original new52 team back, maybe some stuff will be cooler and more fun to read.
