Each week we take a close look at a comic book collectible. That means taking it out of the package. While Jurassic World doesn't actually have a comic, there has been Jurassic Park ones. Jurassic World was huge at the box office and we couldn't resist taking a close look at the LEGO Rapter Rampage set.

The set contains 324 pieces and retails for $49.00 (I found it online for a little cheaper). You get quite a bit considering the smaller number of pieces--three LEGO figures, two dinosaurs, a truck, and a motorcycle. What's key is who you're getting here.
The main thing you'll notice is you're getting Chris Pratt's character (Owen) along with two of the Raptors - Blue and Delta.

Owen respects the Raptors and they, in return, respect him. Of course when outsiders come along, it messes up the balance. Those pesky ACU agents and their big old trucks.

It's a good sized truck and there's a bunch of decals you have to put on to really make it fit into the Jurassic Park world.
Inside you'll find two computer screens ready to research the dinosaurs.

The ACU guy doesn't look too happy to be driving the truck. He's probably the kind of guy that is just itching to shoot at dinosaurs. He really looks like a LEGO jerk.

The truck says it's part of the vet unit but check out what the ACU guy has to show us in the back.

Look at that. Even though it's a vet's van, this guy keeps a big old gun turret inside. He also rigged it so the gun can go on top of the truck.

The third figure you get is Bryce Dallas Howard's Claire character. She's all business but shows she's ready for the action by tying her shirt up. You can almost feel the LEGO chemistry between Claire and Owen.

But wait! What about the Raptors? What have they been up to?
Looks like they put cameras on their heads to record everything. Maybe they're making a reality show focusing on Claire and Owen?

Or maybe Delta and Blue are jealous?
It's okay, Owen can calm them down.

If that doesn't work, hopping on his motorcycle and allowing them to run through the jungle usually makes them happy.

The truck also has a handle so you can hang LEGO people off the side and let the raptors run up and try to bite their angles.

What about that big jerk ACU guy?

What's going on here? He has a gun pointed towards Blue? What's in that big giant green needle? This set is for ages 6-12, I'm not sure if we should have this kind of LEGO dinosaur violence. Something needs to be done.

Uhm...
Maybe we should check back with LEGO Owen. He was saying something about trying to do a LEGO crossover against the big giant LEGO Indominus Rex (don't worry, I don't actually have a LEGO Indominus Rex so they're won't be any injuries there).

Yeah, it's LEGO Guardians of the Jurassic Galaxy.
Overall it's a pretty cool set. The price might be a little higher than what I prefer to spend on a LEGO set but there is a good range in prices. LEGO currently has six sets available. You can see them HERE. The big selling point with this set for me was LEGO Owen, Claire, and Blue.

By the way, the Indominus Rex set cost $129.99.
Let us know what you thought of this set. Did you see the movie? Do you plan on getting any of the LEGO Jurassic World sets?
We'll have another item featured next time. It's going to be something kind of big.
