Awesome Toy Picks: Creeper and Green Lantern Batman

A selection of new and old action figures you should add to your collection.

Each week we take a look at cool action figures you can find on store shelves along with some from the past you might already own or have to search for online.

The Creeper is a character that has had a couple different versions with his origin. While he hasn't exactly made a full appearance in DC's 'The New 52,' you probably noticed his alter ego, Jack Ryder in Batman: Arkham City. Either way, with his bright colors and distinct look, he makes a pretty cool looking action figure.

This version of Creeper comes from the DC Universe Classics line (wave 16) and can still be found in stores or online. This is a figure where that weird-looking stomach articulation actually serves a purpose. When I picture Creeper, I usually envision him in more of a crouching position. With the other numerous points of articulation, you can put him in different positions.

The other surprising thing, his...boa/cape thing he wears doesn't affect his standing ability. My biggest fear when buying him was there would be no way he could stand without falling backwards. The plastic for that part is actually a little lighter but still solid material. You can even see in the pictures below that his open-handed grips allow him to hang and he isn't too heavy to stay like that.

Check him out in action.

As for our figure from the past, here's one that I somehow hadn't seen before. It seems fitting since we posted a video on Catwoman as a Green Lantern. It turns out, there was a Batman as a Green Lantern figure from the Green Lantern Series 3 from DC Direct.

One of our new video producers, Thomas, brought this in and had it by his work area. I felt it definitely needed to be spotlighted. Even though he doesn't look exactly the same, it immediately made me think of the 1993, BATMAN: IN DARKEST KNIGHT Elseworld story.

This ultra-cool looking figure isn't going to be easy to find. Believe me, I've looked. I'd love to have one for myself. There are a couple on ebay with some pretty high prices attached.

Check out the pictures below to see the coolness oozing off of him.
