It's time once again to check out some of the coolest comic art on the internet that you won't see in actual books. The reason is artists often draw sketches for commissions or for fun on their personal blogs and Tumblr accounts. It gives them a chance to draw characters they want to and may not normally get the chance on their assigned books.
Let's start out with Nightwing. Joel Gomez posted this on his Tumblr. As usual, it's pretty cool stuff.

Phil Noto is back on Awesome Art Picks with one from one of my favorites, Battle of the Planet (or if you prefer, Gatchaman). Check out his rendition of Princess.

Phil also posted an image of Finn and Jake from Adventure Time on his Tumblr. I still haven't seen the show. I'm intrigued by the commercials and also a little scared by them. Seems there's always some freaky stuff going on.

Ready for some Dustin Nguyen artwork? This week he posted an image of Aquaman.

Imagine if someday we could see a crossover with Dustin's art and Agnes Garbowska. She recently posted a piece she did before and it has Kitty Pryde, Lockheed and Magik!

Those were pretty dang cute. How about we turn it around a little? Who's the law? Why it's Judge Dredd, of course. Last week we saw a really great piece by Francesco Francavilla posted at Comic Twart and there's some more Dredd coming our way.
The first is by Evan Shaner, followed by TWO from Mr. Hawthorne with the last by Dave Johnson.

This week at Comic Twart there was also a pic of Chun-Li by Ron Salas. Perhaps we'll be seeing more Street Fighter images coming.

Peter Nguyen was busy and posted a sketch of Justice League Unlimited on his Tumblr.

Duncan Fegredo posted a couple commissions on Twitter of Poison Ivy and Hellboy.

Finally, you might recall a 3D art image of Baby Magneto by Victor Hugo posted back in June. Check out his Tony Stark pic. Is there any way we can get Disney to get this guy to do Marvel shorts in this style before their feature films?

That's it for this week. Be sure to check back for the next installment of Awesome Art Picks.
