Thanos, your time to shine has finally arrived.

Today, Marvel Studios revealed what Phase Three has in store for us and it looks like we finally know when Thanos will take on the heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe! The Studio is breaking the story into two parts and calling it Infinity War. Part One is set for May 4, 2018 and Part Two will be May 3, 2019.

What's interesting is Infinity War is the title of the Infinity Gauntlet's follow-up. Will Part One focus on the battle with the Mad Titan, and Part Two focus on the aftermath involving Adam Warlock? If so, does this mean we'll see Adam Warlock play a role in Guardians of the Galaxy 2? Director James Gunn confirmed that's his cocoon in the Collector's room, after all. Seeing as this story will conclude Phase Three, it seems reasonable to assume this conflict will not only gather the Avengers (whoever is on the roster at that point), but also the Guardians of the Galaxy, Captain Marvel, and the Inhumans. Thanos has been established as this universe's big bad, so you can bet they're going to need some help dealing with this cosmic powerhouse.

We'll keep you updated as more information is released about Marvel Studios' future.
