I'm gonna go out on a limb here and claim that Batman: Arkham Asylum was probably the greatest video game adaptation of a comic book I have ever seen- and I credit that to the fact that the game developers hired people that actually care about the characters, and Batman, to script the game. Hiring long time Batman writer Paul Dini to write Batman: Arkham Asylum was the perfect move- it's no wonder that the game was such a success. So it wasn't much of a surprise when it was announced that Dini would be working on the script of the game's sequel, Batman: Arkham City. Since that announcement, fans of the first game have been on the edge of their seats itching to catch glimpses of Batman's upcoming adventure. Well, if you've been wishing for a look at what the sequel will look like, then you're definitely in luck. The screen captures of Batman: Arkham City 2 were found on an anonymous Flickr account and were picked up by NeoGAF before spreading like wildfire throughout the interwebs- and they look AMAZING. We get an awesome look at Two-Face and Catwoman, and see that Detective Mode will return- I love detective mode! @DeadlyWolverine: no, it wouldn't be Jason Todd as robin, because Bane was in the first game, and during Knightfall Tim Drake was Robin. the co op person is painfully obvious. It's Catwoman. She's stealthy and it's a stealth game...oooooh hard to figure out.
Yeah co op has to be in this game! but please no batmobile. Its this thing everbody wants and if the producers add it, it doesnt get much time to get developed and then the handling is bad and so on. If its in the game, it wont be good, promised!

I'd Play as Catwoman more than Batman in that case.
The sequel to Arkham Asylum featuring Catwoman in a major role and written by the man that wrote Heart of Hush (a comic that still brings me to tears and cemented Batman/Catwoman as my favorite comic book couple ever). This game can't come out soon enough.

Nigma: In the Batman Arkham Game Universe, anything is possible, I said it was possible within the two time-frames, the universe the games are grounded in isn't the same as the comic book continuity. Like the shows (where was Jason Todd? Oracle was supposed to be crippled before Tim Drake took up the mantle, why were they crusading together?). Rocksteady is listening extremely well to what the fans want, and since most of us are demanding Robin, and Nightwing, we are probably getting them on top of Catwoman.
i guess im the only one who doesnt like Harley's new look. i was expecting her classic outfit. the game looks great though and i'm excited for it. Two-Face looks great in the screenshots.
my mind has gone into WOOOOOOOWWWWWWWW WOW CCC BOMB , but the hard part is what looks better and more fun batman or dc online ? , but still realy got get it this game , and i hope more villians reutrn like scarecrow with his fun amaze and bane with his epic battles .
Game Informer teased possible co-op in this game. If so, I'm guessing it'd be a separate set of missions. The question is... will the second player be Catwoman? I seriously can't wait to play this game. In fact, I feel like playing Arkham Asylum right now!
" Harley Quinn's change of outfit from S&M nurse to more familiar 'jester girl' feels more fitting for the urban environments in the game. Catwoman looks amazing, reminds me of the Adam Hughes design specifically. Two face looks gruesome and reminiscent of the 90's Batman: TAS design. Glad to see Batman's outfit has barely changed. Only difference seems to be the gauntlet / glove design seems modified. Otherwise they've kept the best designed Batman costume I think I've ever seen. Now here's to hoping they don't cock it all up! "
Well said!! I love the new Harley look, its much better, I think Dini actually stepped in this time.
I think Paul Dini helped the game out by making a well though out story but he was not the only one that made the game successful. The developer Rocksteady deserve most of the credit if not 90 percent of it. The reason why is there have been other comic book writers that have helped script other games based on a specific comic and they were not that successful. The reason why was not because of story but the actually game. Either the graphic sucked or the gameplay was terrible. Rocksteady has did an awesome job with this product from graphics and gameplay(I mean you actually fill like Batman how cool is that lol). The art direction is awesome. I fill that they should have used the artist from Rocksteady to redesign the new bat costume, it is cooler than Finch design lol

Like in the Dark Knight when The Joker was dressed like a nurse in the Hospital scene. Harley did the samething in the game, since she was in a mental institution she decided to play a nurse and modified the look to fit her style. Im pretty sure if they had took over a police department she would have made a police uniform that was modified to her liking lol
Everything looks better sure.. The streets are nice, graphics seem improved upon (which were a lot already)... BUT ... Emo-goth-punk Harley??? Again? Even worse!? (where's the domino mask dammit!) Plus, I'm not really feeling this "Arkham City" plot.. couldn't they simply go into No Man's Land simply? I understand they don't wanna make a sand box type of game and keep a "Metroid-like" structure...but... :(
Awesome it will probably be even better than the original Two Face is awesome but I really wanna see Black Mask after all he's a major Batman baddie.And what about Ras al Gul?Is he in the game or not?

Oh man!!!!!!!!!!!! I saw these screenshots on Giant Bomb and IGN already but man do I love the look of this game. Everything just looks soooo perfect and the stroy sounds pretty cool and all the new characters are Awesome!!
This is so Awesome! The first was amazing! So amazing i had to complete it in a little under 2 days. Now the 2nd games got me pumped for another round! And Yeah, this game has got to be the best-comic-based action/adventure ever for me. And i like that Catwoman will be in this....Meeeow.
Absolutely adored the first one (which was, in my opinion, the best super hero game adaptation to date) and will definitely get this one as well. Thanks for the screens!
