If you've been watching the latest season of Arrow, you know Laurel Lance is beginning her training. She's finally met Ted Grant and she's learning how to channel all of her anger. We're all confident she'll eventually become a heroine, but it looks like that day isn't very far away. The first images of actress Katie Cassidy in a new Black Canary costume have been officially released to help promote the 10th episode in Season 3, "Left Behind." Check 'em out below.

I can't wait for her archnemesis, A Stiff Breeze, to take her out. She makes Gadot look like an Amazon in comparison.

Funny how you say original when Black Canary wore a mask in her first appearance. Let me guess, you don't know that she originally had black hair and wore a blonde wig (which has been that way until the New 52)?

I'm indifferent to the costume. Katie Cassidy however is probably the worst actress on the show. Sarah was a lot better, and I think episode 10 is too soon for her to become Black Canary but I am enjoying the show so we'll see how it goes.

Looks good. That being said i'm dreading Laurel becoming Black Canary, especially so soon. I hope it's a while before we see her as Black Canary because it's not going to be believable at all if she can kick people's butts after training for two weeks.

Also i have a question, does black canary use battle Staves/Batons in the comics?

I love it. Modern Black Canary costume is my favorite costume, only to be second by New 52 Black Canary Costume.

The costume is fine, but I still hate Laurel.

I hate it. I want sara back. This one has zero muscles this is so dumb. There is no way she could beat up grown men. They killed off the wrong sister. The actress playing sara did martial arts and parcour in real life and they replace her with this skinny-fat chick... unbelievable.

Althought writer makes her fightning with her fist most of time. Dinah Lance use several martial weapons like Bo staff and eskrima stick because it suited her fightning style. But there is also possibility that tribute to Mockingbird since Mockingbird was possibel inspired with Dinah Lance since Boobie made her first apperance two years after Dinah made her first apperance on New-Earth on Justice League of America.

I don't think I'll ever like Laurels character. I wish she was taken out instead of her sister.

Ridiculous. Almost on par with the Doomsday rubber suit from Smallville.

Which one? Mine? I prefer the one in All Star Batman & Robin but too bad that was just Miller going insane. Black Canary's current look is fine.

On-Scene maybe 2-3 times i think and he now how she is going to train her because she confess her rage. But Spoiller Allert Ted Grant is former vigilante and will train her and if Tea/Mia is now trained whatever she is in less than a year, why (Dinah) Laurel cannot be trained fighter in less than a year ?

I haven't really seen her with any. She's mostly just a grade A++ martial artist with a sonic scream.

To be fair, I could see CW having to field a flood of sexism claims if they had her running around in fishnets.

Looks OK, but why are they turning so many characters into costumed heroes/vigilantes?

I hate that I think this looks better than Sarah's. A few too many straps, but still.
