I haven't read this series of annuals in a long time, and I never realised what a bold move this annual was. It is a double size comic about a character, who at this point is not a hero of any kind. Just someone who is fed up with the way the world has turned out. We had never met him before, but the premise he is setting up, and the promise that DC made to us ( a major character would turn out to be the villain, although by now you know how that turned out ) keeps this issue alive and kicking....
