    Arak fails to convince Carolus Magnus of the treachery of Angelica until he smites her brother in combat and she summons a demon to bear her off to White Cathay. Now to save Malagigi, Arak and the Iron Maiden must cross the treacherous Alpines full of dangers both natural and supernatural!

    Issue 6 of Arak is the most similar to a Conan type sword-and-sorcery story yet. Even the title, 'The Stalkers of the Snows' sounds like an R.E. Howard story title. Given that writer Roy Thomas basically made a career of adapting Howard stories, it's no surprise that this is a strong issue.  Although the early part of the story is a bit too wordy (and seriously in need of some editorial restraint on account of typos too), the issue has a great, varied storyline, beginning with Arak, a heathen, l...
