    Weak, and resorts to Deus ex Machina Devices Twice 0

    The staff of Arak, Son of Thunder must (I hope) be focusing all their energies on the final issue of this series, because #49 is one of the all-time weakest issues of the series.Despite the fact that we have a Viking, a Knight, an invisible dwarf, a Chinese warrior, a cunning prince, a Sea Captain, a satyr, and a wizard - not to mention the barbarian hero whose book this is - Angelica's serpent is defeated by the mysterious old Chinese dude with a waterlogged kite that he shouldn't even be able ...
