    Arak, Malagigi and The Iron Maiden make it to the Court of Carolus Magnus. But they receive a frosty reception by some of the king's knights. Soon Arak finds himself undergoing a trial-by-combat against one of the Realm's most powerful knights. Meanwhile all are unaware of a great evil growing in their midst.

Modern comics, largely due to printing costs, cap their page count at far fewer pages, while Silver Age comics had a high page count, but split those pages over two, three or even four or more stories per issue.
