The son of an Atlantean queen and a lighthouse keeper from the town of Amnesty Bay, Arthur Curry would grow up to become the superhero Aquaman, and later take on his birthright as the King of Atlantis. He is a founding member of the Justice League and is among DC Comics' most recognized heroes.
Tempest (formerly Aqualad) was Aquaman's sidekick, founding member of the Teen Titans and a resident of Atlantis. He is the second physically strongest Atlantean.
Mera of Xebel is an Atlantean and the famous love interest and wife of Aquaman. She hails from the penal colony of Xebel in the Bermuda Triangle of Atlantean exiles and was tasked with the mission to kill the King of Atlantis - before she abandoned her quest when she met and fell in love with Aquaman. Mera has been at Aquaman's side ever since, proving to be his most valuable partner in battle and in life. She has also spent time leading Atlantis and helping Xebelians.

The younger half-brother of Aquaman, also known by his birth name Orm. Although his origin has been retconned multiple times, he is frequently depicted as wanting to take his brother's place as the king of Atlantis.
She is one of two aquatic characters in the DC universe known as Aquagirl and was raised by the Atlantean Royal Family. She is the second Aquagirl. In the New 52, Tula is Orm's half-sister and the leader of a unit in the Atlantean army called the Drift.
Topo was Aquaman's pet octopus and friend, and is one of the more notable animal sidekicks in comics. His current form is that of a colossal Kraken.

Shark Norton is an one shot foe of Aquaman from the pre-Crisis universe. Originally simply a pirate captured by Aquaman. Shark was the motif of the masks which his gang were wearing.
Wizard is a one shot foe of Green Arrow during the pre-Crisis universe. He is not a sorcerer, just a master planner whose tricks worked like magic.
Pomoxis is an Aquaman foe. An Atlantean with animal-control powers equivalent to those of Aquaman. In his first appearance he assumed the Aquaman mantle for himself. In thew second he briefly usurped the throne of Atlantis.
Classic enemy of Aquaman, a obscure criminal and a hunter with a titanium steel rod. His strange helmet is a disguised alien parasite, which took control of a human body.
Kandor is the lover of Hila and an enemy to Aquaman. He has mind-controlling skills and genetically engineered his own army.
Honored Fallen Lantern of Space Sector 2002. A fierce warrior, despite missing an arm and an eye, Kreon was a warlord who sought to end wars on his home-world, Tebis, rather than start them. Seeing his potential, Hal Jordan recruited Kreon for the Green Lantern Corps.
Tamerkhan is an Aquaman foe. He was a Mongol sorcerer-scientist who made himself effectively immortal. His plan of taking over Atlantis involved aging Aquababy to a man and marrying said man to his daughter.
Huntress is an enemy of Aquaman and Mera. She was an agent of O.G.R.E.
Un-Thing appeared in early Aquaman comics. He was a member of the Terrible Trio.
Supreme One was the leader of O.G.R.E. He ensured the loyalty of his agents by surgically implanting explosives in their bodies. Failure would mean death.
Xen the Aquarium Owner is an alien collector of underwater life. He visited the solar system and captured sentient lifeforms from most of its planet. His main ability is creating duplicates of his targets and using them to incapacitate them.

Dr. Starbuck is a biologist who perfected a method for turning air breathers into water breathers. Usurping the throne of Atlantis, Dr. Starbuck initiated strikes against the surface world, which brought the Atlanteans to the brink of war with mankind.
Dr. Tryton, an Atlantean scientist-engineer, designed and erected the dome that surrounds Atlantis. Dr. Tryton survived to present day, due to a side effect from ingesting a growth serum, which made him, effectively, immortal.
Dr. Dorsal is an alien criminal from an extra-dimensional water world. Using the hypnotic powers of his pet, a two-headed eel, Dr. Dorsal is able to place his adversaries under his command.
The Aquabeast saw himself as Aquaman's rival for the affections of the Sea King's wife, Mera. Once a man named Peter Dudley, he became the monstrous Aquabeast to challenge Aquaman, and , hopefully, win the love of Queen Mera.
Lord Ragnar was once the Captain of the Atlantean Guard. He attempted to usurp the Atlantean throne, by first having the king declared a criminal, then by trying to kill the entire Royal Family.
