    The son of an Atlantean queen and a lighthouse keeper from the town of Amnesty Bay, Arthur Curry would grow up to become the superhero Aquaman, and later take on his birthright as the King of Atlantis. He is a founding member of the Justice League and is among DC Comics' most recognized heroes.

    Just wondering, but is Arthur the only Atlantean who has marine telepathy or is this just an ability that's showcased mostly by him? If it's exclusive, then how did he get this specific power?

    @alak: @justthatkid: Right now we have no reason. Because he is the only shown Atlantean with that ability. And its probably because of mixed genetics. Tula and some other Atlanteans were amazed at how ridiculously fast he is in comparison to them.

    Though I did like the explanation in the 90s of it being that Aquaman is a descendent of Kordax, who also had the ability. I think its best explained when its a sign that someone is a rightful sea king.
