Also, in the OP, the first alternate design has too much, and the second has too little. In the OP's second post of pics, the rest are all.... dumb. There's no other word. Just dumb.
I dont know, why people have problem with Aquamans powers, i only have problem with his costume, this is pretty good, saddly using "spandex" is the "coolness"

All his chances were ruined, when people saw his costume was more funny that the Wonder Twins one.

I do like the Alex Ross "King Arthur" Aquaman design. One of the few Ross designs I'm enthusiastic about:

I mean, he haves to look like a God or something like that.
The crustacean armor looks pretty sweet and I hope we see somebody use it somewhere down the line. I think the current outfit is fine though. It looks like it'd be more comfortable to wear and move around in for extended periods of time... And kings should be able to lounge about when they feel like it, those knobbly things might get in the way or slice up your cushy chair or something.

there so much hate on his 'armor' costume but for guy who goes toe to toe with people who can level city you need something more resistant than just spandex
I like the Crustacion armor but this one is the best Aquaman armor of all time.well maybe he needs some boots but the rest in badass. i`m really sorry they didn't use this one. The one that AM is wearing now i hate it because of the gloves. i don't understandwhy they keep using those outrageous gloves

These 3 costumes would've worked perfectly. I love the red gauntlets on Superman. GL's costume looks better and I wish they went with that Aquaman costume because his is mostly unchanged in the reboot.

Agreed and I also quite like this as a design but maybe not for his actual look:
The Crustacean Armor concept for the New 52 Aquaman was beast, when i saw it, i screamed out "WHYYYYYYYYYY".... i mean, that armour looks badass compared to the current Aquaman costume. And the Superman and GL concept were also better than the final product, i really like the GL one, coz it reminded me of the Hal Jordan costume in GL first Flight. Plus, the Concept Superman looks legitimately awesomer, by ten folds.
@Gambit1024: Thanks so much, and yes, the first redesigns look so awesome! I'm fine with both of Jim's designs of Superman's outfit, but they really should have used this design for GL. Because....well the new 52 GL outfits still look like tight-fitting spandex(and spandex/space somehow reminds me of Star Trek). Also, the details he put into the armored look makes the Hal appear well protected and ready for battling aliens in space.
