I'm down for this!!! Aquaman will actually be in the big screens!! So happy for Aquaman! The actor might not look like Aquaman, but he could pull it off. He was a badass in Game of Thrones.

It hasn't been officially confirmed. In any case I hope it's not true, because I feel like we don't need Aquaman in this film. Justice League, yes absolutely, but not Batman V Superman.

@captainmarvel4ever: I'm guessing they are just gonna show a small glimpse of Aquaman, Cyborg, Wonder Woman and other Justice Leaguers in this movie. And Batman v Superman isn't a Man of Steel Sequel anyway.

I love Momoa. The first couple season of SG: Atlantis I couldn't stand him on the show. HORRENDOUS acting chops. But during the 4th season he started to progress at an extraordinary rate I thought and everything I've seen him in since has continued to impress me by how much he develops. Very good in Red Road!

Really interested to see his take on the character.

Your thread should say Jason Momoa is RUMOURED to play Aquaman in Batman vs Superman. This is only a rumour so far with information gathered from a so called 'reliable' source. Nothing has been confirmed yet and Momoa denied that he was Aquaman a while back. Nonetheless, if it were true, I could see Momoa pull it off. There are some similarities in Karl Drogo's role that can easily be applied to Aquaman plus he's a pretty good actor to boot with the physicality to match Aquaman's physique. This could work well potentially if true.

Regardless of the casting, I'm glad that Aquaman is getting put on the big-screen so people can quit making those "Aquaman-is-lame" jokes.

I'm less worried about his ability to pull it off as I am about the studios. He'll be a tough character to sell on the big screen to the general audience.

@t_hench: If they do him right he could rake in some big money for WB in a potential solo film.

@aquaneto: Totally agree, but it will not be an easy job. He's a character that will have an uphill battle in gaining respect and interest from non-comic book fans. Really curious to see if the surface dwellers know about the existence of Atlantis.

@t_hench: they need to try their best to make Aquaman likable to the main public.
