Arthur and Mera are attacked by Atlanna and her soldiers, including Gontu. After Arthur tries to plead with Atlanna, to believe he is her son, she is able to knock Arthur and Mera out.
She then takes them to Karaku, the Volcano God, as a sacrifice, but Arthur wakes in time. He grabs Mera and Lenu and makes an escape. They don't get far when they are attacked by Atlanna's monsters.
During the battle the Maelstorm is activated and an army of Atlantean troops emerge. The battle seems to turn in Arthur favors when Karaku erupts from the volcano, to destroy everone.
