The GoodI really liked the appearance of the Ocean Master. I have no knowledge on the character and I think it's nice to see Geoff Johns exploring a bit of him. I was just curious about his characterization. I mean, in issue #0, the way Vulko talked about him certainly made me think of him as a villain, but in this comic, it sounded like Arthur and Orm really loved each other. Threats against the boy 0
This is an entirely acceptable, if maybe not very pulse pounding introduction to the new story arc which will intersect this title and that of Justice League. This builds a lot more on the Zero issue and mostly ignores the previous story arc except for the very last part of it. In so doing there is a bit of a drop off here, though it might be hard specifically to put a finger on exactly what it is. What it is though is that this title despite being titled Aquaman is at its heart a team book. ...

Who Should Be King? 1
This has probably been the most surprising series that has came out of the New 52, also being one of the best things to have come out of the New 52. Before this series I had a huge disliking for Aquaman, and was guilty of being one of the many who thought he was nothing more than a joke, which this series has proved wrong. WE KNOW WHAT ORM LOOKS LIKE ALREADY 0
This is a BADASS cover, it makes me all the more disappointed that Ivan Reis is going to be departing this series, he's amazing at all the ocean action. But at least he'll be drawing three more issues with the Justice League issues of Throne of Atlantis. But I digress, Ocean Master looks truly menacing as he stands above us like a tyrant, his trident at the ready to slay any dissenters. The icing on the cake is the maelstrom of sharks circling above him. Truly awesome.I have one major complaint ...
