As the premiere of Marvel's Agent Carter revealed more of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's past, the 2-hour debut also gave us a look at the evergrowing universe's future. Marvel has teased the Ant-Man teaser twice (one "ant-sized" teaser and one swift one) and now we finally get to witness the entire video. And yes, it's "human-sized." Was it worth the hype? Check it out and judge for yourself, readers!

"One question: Is it too late to change the name?" Does this teaser make you more excited about the movie? Ant-Man is directed by Peyton Reed and scheduled to open July 17.

Nice teaser. I'll be surprised if it's not another hit for Marvel. Looking forward to the first "real" preview trailer.

Does Rudd's "huh" sound weird to anyone else?

Look I'm still bummed this isn't a Edgar Wright joint and Peyton Reed is a solid hand, Bring It On is pretty darn good.

However, this looks like every other Marvel live action feature and I am bored by that aesthtic. I may find Winter Solider and Guardians to be interesting by half and largely undone by the fact that they must be Marvel Live Action Features, but at least they showed the limits of the Marvel fish bowl. This trailer is cut like a generic superhero joint and that's boring.

I've always wanted to like ant man. This trailer and the new series coming out soon do a good job of selling the character to me. I can't wait for the movie!

Wow that was quick, I literally just watched it on TV.

But it looks promising. There are a few problems I have with it. It looks to me like the Hank pym we are used to seeing in the comics ( genius who created the pym particles) and is the original ant man is not going to be the one we see in the movie I'm afraid. Makes me less interested in seeing it.

Still wishing Hank Pym was Antman. Other than that, it looks alright.

It doesn't look like anything spectacular. But I'm feeling the tone, it doesn't seem like your standard silly marvel movie.

Alright I'm on board. That trailer was surprisingly fun for how short it was.

And they actually said the name! I'm glad they aren't making it into a "uh, it seems like some sort of" thing like recent movies have done with codenames

I'm less sold now than I was before I watched it. This is moving dangerously close to being the first failure on Marvel's part. I'll still see it but I'm not as trusting of them as I once was. I just wonder if Edgar's version would have been worse? He's a great director but only for certain things. I'm not sure if he would have been the right person for this anyway.

Dry, dull trailer that falls flat with it's attempts at humor.

Seems like it doesn't know whether to be Winter Soldier or Guardians.

As good as I think this film will be, I think Edgar's version would have been superior. He has a great history dealing with weird, obscure, less popular in a way things in his films and Ant-Man fits the bill. (Edgar is also pretty eccentric himself LOL). I don't think it will be a failure (everyone said the same thing about Guardians), I expect it to either rival Guradians intake or make slightly less.

looks alright...Ant-man is like Marvel's Aquaman so Its gonna be a little tough to sell him but with this trailer I believe it can be done. I have had little to no hope for this movie but now I have a little more...though Im sure there will be moments I dislike. And Im still hoping they have a good origin for Hank Pym as to why Scott Lang has to be Ant-Man.

Ant-Man (any version) has never really been a character that I've gotten excited about but I have really liked the ad campaign Marvel has been utilizing lately. The "ant sized" poster and teaser were funny. That said, this trailer did absolutely nothing for me. I'll surely be watching it when it releases but this may be the first Marvel Cinematic Universe movie that didn't get me excited going into it. We'll see. There is still quite a bit of time but that is my initial reaction.

I think it will succeed, for a few reasons.

1: Not many non-comic readers know who Ant-Man is, so even though WE know they're taking a lot of liberties with the source material for it, then again since Pym has gone by 4 different identities over the years and 2 other guys have been Ant-Man that is probably a good thing.

2: Yeah shrinking by itself is lame, BUT since Ant-Man retains FULL strength? He has ALL the strength he has at normal size. Now even if you're not THAT strong normally? If you're the size of an ant, you can quite literally THROW people flat on their backs and beat the crap out of them in ways they can't defend against! In short it is a cool power to play around with from a cinematic point of view, just the shots they can get and portraying HOW he's actually fighting people? Not to mention it's a power that has NEVER been shown on screen, so people are going to be either impressed or at the least interested in what happens with that.

3: In an interview Evangeline Lilly mentioned that Hope Van Dyne is the daughter of TWO superheroes. She makes mention that plays a HUGE role in how her character behaves... That tells me at least that Ant-Man and The Wasp have been, perhaps not well known superheroes, but most likely were active for a while in the past which does create a lot of story potential. Hell we could get a show based around them in their younger days, showcase some Marvel heroes and villains who fit the time period more.

Marvel: Giving a suit that will make a man one of the most dangerous people on the planet to a criminal when there are millions of loyal soilders fighting in wars today with combat experience. Why would they do that you ask? Because he has a daughter.

the bad: no wasp, cassie is a brunette? no big villain fight

the understanding: its a teaser so yeah. its the cinematic universe so changes are bound to happen.

the good: OH MY GODDESS THE SHRINKING!!!! never been a fan of scott (hank is the one true antman) but any antman is better than none. the tone of the film, the shots they chose, hope aka janet jr looks awesome and is going to train scott! and cassie lang aka statue, the first young avenger to make a screen debut! now just got to wait for the full trailer

People hated the Avengers trailer.

People hated the Guardians of the Galaxy trailer.

People always hate, and Marvel has yet to truly fail.

Edgar Wright would have made a standalone movie that had no connection to a greater universe. I feel that is the reason Marvel decided not to keep working with him. They made that mistake with Iron Man 3. They know what works and what doesn't.

I remember when I heard this was being made in about 2011/2012 and I thought it was just a joke... What's this guys story? is he a well known in comics or are they trying to make him well known and likeable so when the avengers contracts runs out we still have this new breed of hero to love?

The teaser made it seem as if Hank had already been Antman in the cinematic universe. I mean why else would he suggest the name to Scott? If that is so, i hope they would imply that Hank had been a secret hero all along.
