@drellassassin: at least that sounded cool unlike "Ant-Man," ants aren't cool man.
Don't think I'll be checking this movie out, doesn't interest me at all. I'm not that familiar with Ant-Man and I can't help but wonder if the bubble is going to burst on all these super-hero movies in the next few years when they lean towards more obscure characters to try and cash in on the hype.
Great for comic fans in general, but will the average movie-goer still be interested? I guess only time will tell.
@regiebravo: same can be said for "spider" man or "bat" man
@kfabz-23: okay, I have good news and bad news. The good news is that I'm at the emergency room by myself rn because I thought I had a cancerous lump but it's not, the bad news is, ants aren't cool or scary like bats or spiders.
Solid costumes but ant-man still seems out of place to me in MCU earth.
I can understand that sentiment. I'm just curious what the "tone" of the movie will be and what, if any, connections it may have to the Avengers in general in terms of the movie universe.
Granted, Ant-Man and Wasp have been members of the Avengers, so I assume that is the goal but as a stand-alone movie, I am still searching.
PERHAPS there will be some revelations and connections made but I just hope it is NOT a "humorous" take on the characters as reported in the past.
@ravenvice01: they obviously wanted to use a character significant to Scott. And the only way to make people less excited for an Ant-Man movie is to put in a guy named Egghead.
@humanrocket: Now that you mention it yeah.
Wow man, that show did get very close to the movie design! The Disney infinity game did too, with their Ant-Man team-up disc. (Got that for Christmas, thought the design was pretty cool there too.)
At first I had my doubts about this movie- I like both Hank & Scott Lang; I definitely had my doubts about Yellowjacket being the villain, but the movie is looking better & better all the time.

I still think it'll flop, but I admire your optimism
Yeah, maybe I am being a lil' optimistic about it. Maybe it'll be the surprise hit GOTG was. (I doubt if it will reach the level GOTG did, but if I'm proven wrong, that's ok.) Really, the Marvel film I'm looking forward to the most right now is GOTG2. I'm looking forward to A:AOU, but I can't wait to see the cast of GOTG again.
Marvel has made a reputation of making cheesy comic book costumes look badass on big screen. I love both, but I'm specially digging the yellow suit costume.

Me too, bro! I love the cybernetic helmet on the Ant-Man suit, it looks realistic & modern but has those classic touches that make it recognizable as Ant-Man. And the Yellowjacket suit is awesome, I think it looks like a high-tech Yellowjacket, & he does look like the antithesis of Ant-Man, which he should be.(I think it's kind of cool that Yellowjacket, which was sort of the morally ambiguous, or at least infamous, Hank Pym persona, is actually a separate, villainous character- maybe kind of an allegory as to what happened in the comics world with Ant-Man vs. Yellowjacke, but maybe I'm being too pretentious.) I want Marvel Legends figures f both of these guys, now! (Can't believe I'm actually saying that about an Ant-Man figure.) Can't wait to see both suits & the Pym Particle effects on screen. (Wonder if we'll get any hints to the enlarging effects?) I'm optimistic about this one, I think it'll be a sleeper hit. Not GOTG level, but still a success. I know my sis will be in line to see it, she freakin' loves Paul Rudd!
Avengers 2 is going to rock next summer in its wake, but Ant-Man looks like it could be a sleeper hit as well, almost like GotG, but on a smaller scale.
