Animal Path

Origin

Animal Path (female) is a young female ninja of unknown origin. After she was killed, her body was preserved and stored to serve as one of the replacements bodies for the Six Paths of Pain at the Hidden Rain Village. Once the original Animal Path was killed by Jiraiya, she was taken from storage to activate in his place. Nagato had the Rinnegan eyes implanted into her body along with chakra receiver, so he could remotely control her body and see through her eyes.

Creation

Animal Path (female) (畜生道 (女), Chikushōdō (onna)) is an antagonist of the Naruto series that was created by Masashi Kishimoto. It first began serialization Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump in November 1999. She would not appear until the Invasion of Pain Arc that begins in Volume 44.

She first appeared in Naruto Volume 44, CH. 407 "Addressed to Naruto".

Naruto Shippuden (2007)

The Naruto Shippuden anime series is the second direct adaptation of Masashi Kishimoto's original manga. This series It's produced by Studio Pierrot and first began airing in February 15, 2007. Her first anime appearance was in Naruto Shippuden - Episode 155 "The First Challenge", which aired on April 8, 2010. Her character in the Japanese series is voiced by Shiho Hisajima, and the U.S. dub produced by VIZ Media has yet to be announced.

She's the only member of the Six Paths of Pain to have her own separate voice actress in the anime adaptation.

Games

The Animal Path (female) makes her first game appearance in Naruto Shippūden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2. She shares the same Japanese voice actress as her anime adaptation, and the English voice is performed by Kari Wahlgren. In the following game, Naruto Shippūden: Ultimate Ninja Impact, her English voice is performed by Stephanie Sheh.
