    RUNNING FROM THE ROT

Buddy Baker's family is on the run, traveling across the country in a RV to escape the forces of death and decay, otherwise known as The Rot. Evil agents are hunting Buddy's four-year-old daughter Maxine, who has been chosen as the avatar of The Red, the force of animal life.

Buddy uses all his animal abilities to protect his family as best he can, but even an experienced super hero is no match for The Rot. As their enemies close in and Maxine discovers more of her disturbing powers, the Baker family begins to fall apart.

To protect the people he loves, Buddy must become a better Animal Man and a true warrior of The Red. Leaving his family behind, he must venture into The Red alone, deeper than ever before...

ANIMAL MAN: ANIMAL Vs. MAN (collecting issues #7-11, #0 and Animal Annual #1) comes from Eisner Award nominee JEFF LEMIRE (JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK) and features the horror-tinged artwork of STEVE PUGH (Hotwire), TIMOTHY GREEN II (Avengers Academy), and TRAVEL FOREMAN (BIRDS OF PREY).
