    Gargoyle Vampires!

American Vampire: Survival of the Fittest #3 of 5.
Hey everybody! So this issue picks up right where last issue left off! Instead of being mutilated by the many vampires, Cashel and Felicia are introduced to the 77the reich, which is an army of Nazi vampires! Felicia and Cash have to play dumb in this predicament and act like these are the first vampires they've ever seen. Dr. Pavel then presents a demonstration of a new weapon he's created that uses the different ultraviolet rays of the sun, to kill vampires. Later Cash and Felicia decide to sneak out of the mansion because they know that these Nazi people are on to them. They find Dr. Pavel and he escapes with them, bringing them to a secret underground cavern. There he shows them their chance to fight back, which is using these ancient gargoyle vampires!

    The GOOD!
I love Snyder's writing especially in his American Vampire titles. This has been a fantastic mini series so far and I love the constant theme of Darwinism running through the pages of this story! The vampire nazis were really cool and chilling! I'm not sure if vampire nazis has ever been addressed before, but what I see here is really cool. What I also loved was the weapon Dr. Pavel came up with. We know the usual weapons of killing vampires which are: steaks, garlic, crosses, holy water, silver (if you watch True Blood <3), and etc. The idea of using rays of the sun in arsenal form is truly awesome and innovative! I really like the tone and dialogue of this series as well. I love Cash and Felicia's dialogue with each other.

Art: Murphy's art is great and dark! The only thing that bothered me about the art was how each character's noses were drawn. But that's such an insignificant issue, I won't let that lessen the rating. My favorite art scene was Felicia and Cash's escape. It was drawn perfectly.

    The BAD!
I don't feel like enough was accomplished in this issue. The ending did lead somewhere, but I don't think we saw enough of what's going to happen with it. Like I don't feel there was much of a cliff hanger and I feel in mini series that there should be a cliff hanger at the end of every issue.

    The VERDICT!
Nonetheless this comic was still a great read! It was an easy and quick read! I say pick it up! 4.5 out of 5!
