    Vampire on the run

    Synopsis

Perl meets up with a friend who turns on her. Perl and her boyfriend flee from the Eurpoean vampires. We also get a co-feature which is a short history of Skinner's first days as a vampire

    The Good

Artwork is one well worth the $ for this issue. It reminds me of a Jonah Hex book as it's a western and seems to have some of the same "rough" look as the early issues of Jonah Hex. I'm not much of a western fan but I'm really digging this series thus far. The plot draws you in enough to forget that it's set in Los Angeles in the early 20s. I most definately felt immersed in the story and felt like I was walking the streets huntin for vamps myself. Great job on art and storyline.

    The Bad

Co-feature, well this actually wasn't a negative this time. For one of the first time's ever I thumbed through it and it was useful information. Wait, why am I still typing this in the "bad" section. This should be up in the "good" section it added to the story and was worth the read.

    Verdict (4/5)

Still, however useful the co-feature was it still gets a -1 on the points in my book, great art and captivating story earn this one a 4/5 score.
