Ambush Bug #2

A man walks into Ambush Bugs Detective agency. He has a problem. There is someone after him, and he wants to hire the bug to stop him. See the man trying to hire the Ambush bug is a scientist. A scientist who is trying to remove and harness the cuteness of a Koala bear. A homely Janitor notices that one of the scientist decides to inject himself with the Koala cuteness, causing the janitor to change into a Koala bear of Kong like porportions. Causing no one to run in terror, but to say "Ahhhh" when he terrorizes the city. We are also treated to the first appearance of Joanni DC continuity cop.

Well, it is another issue. The origin of the Koala is a mad scientist typical story, but that is where average leaves the book. I did like the fact that Ambush Bug did not take the scientists case until after the giant Koala Bears foot came through the ceiling and crushed the scientist. The one page gags within the story are consistantly amusing. I especially liked the guide to collecting comics. It does get a little bogged down when Bug uses Bugs Bunny tactics to lure the Koala. However the trip into the Koala Bears stomach is particularly special.

And of course at the end, we are told next issue he faces Darkseid
