    A football mascot that Peter Parker was babysitting is kidnapped by aliens, and an alien baby was abandoned in New York. Spider-Man bumps into Firestar and Iceman, and the trio trade the alien baby for the kidnapped mascot.

    The Friends Aren't So Amazing Anymore 0

    With Jason Aaron stepping away from the series, readers are left to await the next storyline with a new team and an additional cast member. In the meantime, we are left with a poorly cobbled together mess of a story that uses nothing the series has already established and provides a mindless and bland filler issue.The basis of the tale is that Iceman and Firestar are out getting supplies for a football game for the Jean Grey School when Spidey swings in with a baby and a problem.     Just Some Bad Filler 0

    So I'll just start by saying I've never watched Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends so I can't come at this issue with the perspective of it being a nostalgia trip. I also can't tell if attempts are being made to replicate the tone of the show or the way the characters interacted on the show. With that said WHOAH this issue is badly written.The plot makes absolutely no sense. And I don't mean that its a goofy/nonsensical story, I mean that the plot does not hang together at all.
