AllStar » AllStar #1 - Not AllStars Are Bright released by Cyan.Ninja on December 2020.

    Short summary describing this issue.

Not AllStars Are Bright last edited by pikahyper on 12/26/20 07:27PM View full history

The story's main protagonist is high school freshman James Hand who's trying to escape his everyday life by creating his own fantasy world. In his spare time he is writing and drawing his own comic featuring his superhero AllStar fighting monsters and villains. While he is desperately trying to shut out the noises of the outside world reality often poisons his imagination: the main characters and events of Jimmy's life start to appear on his comic pages.

As readers we can relate to his likeable character and very familiar inscape, learn about his feelings and motivations. On the other hand the comic entertains us with its own parallel reading experience and self-reflective symbolism. (Norbert Szujo)
