    The beginning of the end

I was saddened to hear that All-Star Western was being cancelled. The last issue will be #34. This issue continues the story which began in 31 where another Jonah Hex has been on a killing spree. As always, the best parts of this comic are the pieces of dialogue between Jonah and Tallulah. I also appreciate that they have placed Jonah back into his original outfits. The beginning of this final story arc is entertaining and I'm enjoying the art. I can't avoid the feeling though that the future trip story is what killed this series. They changed so much of what was great about the earlier issues. I also didn't like how they changed Jonah's face. It's just a shame that they're finally getting back to the Wild West and then it gets cancelled. I would recommend this book to anyone looking to experience the beginning of the end to (what once was) one of the best stories in the New 52. Here's hoping a new western will show up sometime soon. I'm gonna miss this series and the acrid smell of gun smoke.
