All-Star Comics originally was an anthology book for the first two issues. Starting with issue #3 it featured the adventures of DC's original Superhero team, the Justice Society of America. Running for an initial 57 issues, until the series took on a different direction from the fading superhero genre to the new western genre with the title changing to All-Star Western. All-Star Comics was revived in the 1970's and a further 17 issues were produced - the latter issues featuring some next generation heroes as well as the original team. The series ended with issue #74 but the Justice Society of America's stories continued in Adventure Comics from issues (#461-466). Among the highlights of this title are the origin and first appearance of Wonder Woman in issue #8.
