All-Star Batman #1

I apologize if I misunderstood things in this book, but I read it quite quickly.This story is about Batman trying to find a cure for two face, But Two face wants to be set free. Since two face has lots of power, two face tells all of Gotham that he will release there darkest secrets to the world if they don’t free him. But if they do free him he will give them the money of the three most powerful gang bosses in Gotham,Penguin,Black mask, and the great white shark. This gives a good explanation on why people are searching and trying to kill Batman and his new partner duke. But Batman can’t just hide in the bat cave because two face got his hand on the cure, and hid the cure so Batman has to go and find it. Penguin, great white shark, and black mask decide to hire a Assassin to go after Batman and two face. They do this so there secrets won’t come out and so they won’t lose there money. This is a really good idea for a Batman comic book. Other Batman comic books have had a boring “there is a bounty on Batman and I will give you money if you kill him” idea for there story. But this one adds a new twist. The villans in this book are also great. They give a new design to some villains who are going after Batman which makes them more exiting. And there are lots of underrated villains in this book as well. And the artwork is amazing. It isn’t the normal just really good artwork. Instead it makes a new style which is amazing. It is a hit or miss for this type of artwork. For example the Flash rebirth story has a different type of style of artwork. But personally I don’t like it. I understand why you would, but I don’t. But Greg Capullo’s artwork from the new 52 Batman series to me is amazing. It is so different, but in my opinion it fits Batman perfectly. This books artwork to me, is another Greg Capullo situation. The actual story of the book is also incredible, with Bruce Wayne and Harvey dent actually being friends as kids. I won’t spoil to much, but I love how much of a impact Harvey dent made on Bruce Wayne’s life. And this is one of the best two face story's out there. If you are a two face fan you are going to love this story. Overall, I think all star Batman Is a great book with amazing artwork. It should have been the main Batman book, instead of the Batman and Catwoman stuff and Gotham girl and Gotham storylines they had. The main Batman line didn’t have interesting villains besides bane. And they had way to much buildup to the Batman and Catwoman marriage when the result was disappointing. But I’ll stop talking about that book. I give All star Batman a 4 star rating.
