    Mutants, Aliens, and... Run D.M.C? All-new X-men #22 review

Issue #22 of All-new X-men not only starts the titles entry into All-new Marvel Now! but also the Trial of Jean Grey crossover with Guardians of the galaxy, something that I am really excited for. Now I have to admit, I may be a little biased as I have been really excited for these ever since Bendis first announced it. This issue starts out with a lot of calm before the storm(or alien attack), where X-23 is training, Hank is making another one of Bendis's weird time charts, Iceman is playing outside and singing It's tricky from Run D.M.C( a scene that is very funny), and Warren is trying to eat a nice burger. It during that scene where we get an awkward scene with Scott and Jean having a psychic conversation about the weird stuff going on in their lives since they've been here in the present, that includes their relationship. It really is a pretty nice seen between the two in my opinion, along with Warren just being terribly uncomfortable( and all he wanted was to eat a nice greasy hamburger in peace). However, this can't stay quite for long, and since it's the Trial of Jean Grey, the Shi'ar attack and successfully kidnap Jean. I have to say that the the pages that made up the attack and the fight scenes were great, with person who actually impressed me the most this issue was none other then Iceman. He really was putting in a lot of great effort to protect his team and try to save Jean instead of just being comedic relief. Of course it's no surprise that after all this, the guardians of the galaxy finally show up to help out the 05 x-men including Kitty and X-23. I have a few things to say about this issue, first off glad to have Stuart Immonen back on the art for this book after being gone for a few issues, he really draws things very well(warren's hamburger look Delicious). Secondly, again the action was very cool showing off just how tough the Shi'ar are and that the x-men are more trained then when they started but may need to improve. Finally, this is just a pet peeve but how is it that SHIELD and the avengers can't find Cyclops new Xavier school yet Shi'ar and the Guardians of the galaxy can, it just doesn't make sense to me that much. I have to give this a 5/5, and I can't wait for the next issue and Guardians of the galaxy #11.
