All New X-Factor is a must buy!!!

I have to say All New X-Factor #1 really presents a great real world venue for a super hero team to make Marvel super heroes relevant in a very unique way.

In my view Marvel's marry band of mutants haven't really found a formula until today for being politically relevant since the early 2000s when Magneto controlled his own Island of mutants and humans which became a metaphor for Israel and later Iraq when he invaded Africa.

This comic really was Peter David at the top of his game with the highest profile cast of characters any X-Factor title has had since the original five X-Men were on the title.

Polaris recruits Gambit for serving Serval a weapons and technology firm that wants a superhero team to serve the interests of the company. For those that don't know back to Lorna's botched wedding Lorna has a bit of a sexual attraction to Gambit and we see tiny hints of that in their interaction, but Lorna attempts to keep it professional. Meanwhile unbeknownst to Lorna Serval's CEO has recruited Lorna's brother Quicksilver for the team.

Peter David has been recovering from a stroke and this issue shows its not effecting his wit which is back in force.

All in all this issue was a great set up for one of the best and most socially relevant ideas for an ongoing series I have seen in years.

It's true that I've considered it a couple of times, but I never cared for any of the characters and quite frankly the series was too far gone issue count wise and I didn't have the time to read it. This is a fresh opportunity to jump back and read what Peter David has in store for us. Now I don't really now much about Gambit, Larna, etc. What I'm trying to say is th...

I was never very interested in delving into this series, especially after reading the rather mediocre preview for it a few months back, but when my girlfriend decided to pick it up, I thought I'd give it a go.I can honestly say that the best thing about this comic is the cover. We're quickly introduced into a corporate world, filled with stereo typically evil corporate types, and they all feel pretty similar in origin and identity, none of them really standing out from one another. A big question...
