    Alik is a man who is trapped to repeat patterns in history.  His life is represented by the tarot deck because the archetypes they explore ripple truths to his sins over history.  Alik is trapped to betray his country and his lover is meant to betray him.  This cycle repeats no matter when in history and what war is being fought.
